re: Ancient Gree Relays (Gree Event Quest)

Now that you have gained Newcomer status with the Gree, and purchased your Authorization: Gray Secant, you can now board the Gray Secant ship! Access the mission board, accepting the two new quests that were made available by consuming the Authorization: Gray Secant, then head north to board The Gray Secant. After boarding, make your way through the quest Daily: Advanced Analysis. After completing the quest requirements, there will be a droid named Kanarosiku-K offering a quest directly across from the final console, and this quest is The Ancient Gree Relays. Your task is now to travel to various planets within the known galaxy to rescue and interact with multiple Gree agents, whose data collecting on those planets didn't go smoothly. Below is a list of the planets you need to travel to, as well as the locations of the relays.

SIDE NOTE! All Gree Relay Defenders (Elites) are scaled to the planetary level (ie Dromund Kaas Defenders are level 12, while Voss Defenders are level 45)

Dromund Kaas: Travel to the Revanite Compound, and head north into the circular shaped area, following the path until you see multiple Gree Relay Defenders, and access Takobanulu-K. After the conversation, it's off to whichever planet you choose next.

Hoth: Travel to Frostwake Outpost, head north then east, and just before entering the Ship Graveyard, head south until you see multiple Gree Relay Defenders, and access Gamrokodavi-K. After the conversation it's off to whichever planet you choose next.

Tatooine: Travel to Outpost Zaroshe, head north until you see multiple Gree Relay Defenders just inside a cave mouth east of Outpost Tharazon, and access Pobarazotu-K. After the conversation, it's off to whichever planet you choose next.

Alderaan: Travel to Outpost Bolym, head south until you see multiple Gree Relay Defenders just off of the main path, and access Birabosola-K. After the conversation it's off to whichever planet you choose next.

Quesh: Travel to the Imperial Waystation, head south until the first major intersection, then east passing under twin bridges until you see multiple Gree Relay Defenders just off the path to the left, and access Dendotaloga-K. After the conversation it's off to whichever planet you choose next.

Voss: Travel to the Pilgrim Retreat, follow the main path south until you see multiple Gree Relay Defenders just off to the right of the path, and access Lomasigaro-K. After the conversation it's off to whichever planet you choose next.

After accessing all Gree Relays on all of the planets, travel back to Ilum, and board The Gray Secant once again, returning to Kanarosiku-K. This droid will praise your ability to collect the observation data needed, and reward you with 2x Gray Helix Components, 1x L1-L Scout (which is a miniature vanity pet version of our quest giver himself), and 1x Ancient Gree Artifact (providing a WHOPPING 1,440 points of reputation)! Congrats!

(SIDE NOTE) It has been found that using a Gree Artifact to provide reputation still awards the full amount of reputation as you hit the weekly cap. See Patooti's post below for more detailed information. You can check your weekly cap level by opening your Legacy menu, selecting "Repuatation", then selecting "The Gree Enclave" in the left column, and viewing your remaining points until cap in the right column.

Nice Nast! One point though - it seems like it doesn't waste any rep if you use an item to cap - so if you have 90 til cap, you can use the big ones. I don't know if this takes a chunck of next week's cap, but you don't lose anything.

Interesting. So you still get the full value as long as the rep item is used before the cap. I guess we'll find out next Tuesday if it takes away from the following cap level. Thanks for the info man!

Excellent guide Nast! Works like a charm, I followed it to the letter and, you did a great job! Thanks for putting that together!

A little more on the subject of reputation.

Dulfy.net updated with more info regarding the Gree Event, including a spreadsheet and projection for reputation gains.

http://dulfy.net/2013/02/12/swtor-relics-of-the-gree-event-guide/

Gearbox Method(<---see link below) for extra weekly gains: Consume 19 blue trophies to reach 11970 rep, and then consume a purple trophy to reach 13410/week. This allows you to get to the Legend standing within 4 weeks.
You can go over the 12k weekly cap as long you use the last item <12k. The reputation gain over 12k are not lost.
